drawings the students did in Ms. Stahl's UPK class!
The activity is called directed drawing. Ms. Stahl guides the students through the drawing process step by step, showing them exactly where and how to make the next line.

Building the next generation of YCS Leaders!
York Middle/High School Principal Mrs. Peet took a group of YCS High School students to the Next Generation Leadership Summit at SUNY Geneseo on Friday.
It is a hands on leadership program where students from area schools participate in developing a plan for servant leadership and creating a positive vision.
In other words, these YCS students will blaze a path for YCS! Check out some of the take-away notes of what a servant leader is and is not!
Thank you YCS students for taking on this challenge of building a positive vision for our school.

Building the Next Generation YCS Leaders!
York Middle/High School Principal Mrs. Peet took a group of students to SUNY Geneseo on Friday to participate in the Next Generation Leadership Summit.
It is a program where area students participate in hands-on learning about what is servant leadership, how to become a positive leader, and how to create a vision plan for their schools.
In other words, these student leaders will blaze a positive path at YCS!
Here is an example of what speaker Dani Drews, SUNY Geneseo Dir. of Intercollegiate Athletics & Recreation shared with the students:
"Leadership is NOT about not making mistakes."
"No two people lead the same - it is as unique as a fingerprint."
"You are responsible for the energy you bring to the room."

Congratulations to York/Pavilion Varsity Football Coach Kurt Schneider - named the Rochester Region Coach of the Week by the Buffalo Bills and ADPRO.
The award comes with a $1,000 donation for Coach Schneider's Y/P Golden Knights Football program and a chance to be named the Coach of the Year, which will be announced during the Bill's game against the New England Patriots on December 31, 2023 at 1 p.m.
Coach Schneider led his Knights to a 28-0 victory on October 20 over arch-rival Geneseo Blue Devils to win the Valley Ball trophy.
