York Central School District uses an assortment of technologies to support and enhance student learning. In today's learning environment, students need to develop skills applicable to the 21st century workplace such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. Each student in grades Pre-K through 12 will have access to an electronic device and high speed internet access to serve all students and staff members.

NetSmartz

NetSmartz is an Internet safety curriculum for Teachers and Parents. They have a wealth of free resources that could be used at home or in the classroom. NetSmartz is sponsored by The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, and The Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Common Sense Media

Common Sense Media offers a collection of parent resources to offer research-backed and culturally relevant tips and advice on everything form when to get kids a cellphone, to how to navigate new social media platforms, and how to manage risky online behavior like sexting. Their curriculum and advice is used in all 50 states and around the world, and is a go-to resource for millions of parents and caregivers.
