NY State Issues Law Prohibiting Student Use of Smartphone and other Internet Devices in School
This year, the Governor led the passage of a new law that will take effect this fall, prohibiting students from using smartphones and similar devices during the school day in all New York State public schools. Students will still be permitted to use these devices before and after school, but use during the instructional day will no longer be allowed in any public high school in New York State. This is a link to our policy that outlines our district's implementation of the new law.
