Dear Class of 2026  Seniors, Parents, and Guardians,

On behalf of the YCS Yearbook staff, congratulations on completing your junior year. It’s now time to prepare for senior photos and yearbook submissions. The yearbook takes months of planning and requires meeting very specific deadlines. Meeting these deadlines will ensure you receive a yearbook you love. With that said, here’s the first task: Planning your formal portrait. 

Summer is the perfect time to find a photographer and book a sitting for your portrait. Please share our publishing requirements with them. Photographs must be submitted by the deadline, via e-mail, in compliance with Walsworth Publishing specifications for the yearbook photo as well as the YCS yearbook photo requirements (all outlined below). Cell phone photos, even in portrait mode, do not always transfer well to the yearbook. Please do not use or send cell phone photos or screenshots. If you need help with finding a photographer please contact the yearbook advisor for assistance.

All photos must be submitted to kandrzejczak@yorkcsd.org by the deadline of November 1, 2025 in order to guarantee inclusion in the yearbook. We will make every attempt to reach those who do not submit a formal photo.

Technical Requirements: Please advise your photographer of the following specifications provided by our publisher, Walsworth: 

-Vertical pose

-JPEG image formal 

-Minimum image size of 640 x 800 px

-Senior portraits should focus exclusively on the senior student

Senior yearbooks will be for sale starting in SEPTEMBER. Seniors will need to purchase a yearbook if they want one. Look for more info on yearbook sales & ads at Open House!

More information will be provided to students at the start of the school year regarding baby pictures & Senior Yearbook Packets.
