At York Elementary, we rise to every challenge with a commitment to empowering our students to explore, grow, and succeed. Aligned with the York Central School District’s vision and mission, we strive to prepare, challenge, and inspire all learners through rich academic experiences and a supportive, inclusive environment.

Our character education program celebrates students who exemplify traits such as persistence, fairness, and citizenship, while our evidence-based SEL curriculum, MindUp, helps students develop emotional awareness and self-regulation skills. Weekly STEAM instruction, hands-on field trips, and visits from guest experts spark curiosity and deepen learning across all grade levels.

We are proud to support our families beyond the classroom with resources like our food pantry, clothing closet “The Loft,” and before and after school care. At York Elementary, we’re building strong foundations—academically, emotionally, and socially—for every child, every day.
