Join the Golden Knights Boys Basketball teams to fight childhood cancer!

The Golden Knights Boys Junior Varsity and Varsity Basketball teams are teaming up with the Michael Napoleone Memorial Foundation to play in the Third Annual Hoops for Hope Tournament on January 31, 2026 at Batavia High School.

Proceeds raised from the Hoops for Hope Tournament will benefit the foundation, whose mission is to assist families with the challenges of a pediatric cancer diagnosis through grants for sports/activities, supporting research efforts, and local hospitals. The foundation is in memory of Michael C. Napoleone, the eight-year-old son of Mark and Laurie Napoleone from Batavia, NY, who died from Burkitt’s Lymphoma/Leukemia, an aggressive form of blood cancer.

York Boys JV team plays Batavia HS (@BHS) at 3 p.m. The Varsity Boys team plays Batavia HS @ Genesee Community College at 8 p.m.

Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for students, and children under 5 years old are free. There will be concessions and tickets for a 50/50 giveaway at each game.

The MNMF is looking for volunteers and sponsorships to help make this a successful event. Donations are also greatly appreciated. You can get more details at www.michaelshope.org or by calling Laurie at 585-409-3275.

We invite you to come out and support your York Golden Knights in a great cause!
