Congratulations to Alto Sylvia Llop on her selection to the Area All State Junior High Treble Choir. Sylvia is a student of 7 -12 Music and Chorus Teacher Mrs. Melissa Coyle. The Area All State performance takes place on November 4 at Batavia High School. Congratulations to Sylvia on her outstanding achievement!

Congratulations to Senior Grace Christiano on being selected to perform for the Rochester Area All State Festival . Seniors Adrienne Schroth and Indigo Freeman were selected as Area All State Alternates. The three instrumentalists are students of Mr. Devin Vogel, YCS Middle/High School Instrumental and Music Theory teacher. Grace, Adrienne and Indigo auditioned against hundreds of students in multiple counties. To be selected to perform alongside the very best musicians from New York State High Schools is a huge honor - especially coming from a small school. YCS is one of three districts in the area to have a student receive this honor, and this is our second year in a row. The Rochester Area All State Festival performance will be at Rush Henrietta Central School on November 18, 2023, at 2 p.m.

Mrs. Dougal's sixth grade students are learning the elements of writing from developing their concept to writing the first draft, editing, and finally developing the final project.

Cam and Kadin did a great job working at YCS all summer and they are continuing to work for Mr. Gullo in Buildings and Grounds. We captioned this photo TEAMWORK! It took them a minute, but they were able to successfully maneuver into the elevator! Teamwork with a smile! Nice work Cam and Kadin!
