York Central School Veterans Day Program November 10, 2026
Dear YCS Families, A Message from Mrs. Sandy Streb, Veterans Day Program and S.H.I.E.L.D. Coord.(Please read the two attached documents)
It has become a tradition at York Central School to honor Veterans with a school-wide assembly and luncheon. Photos of Veterans are displayed on our Wall of Honor. Veterans can also sign up to visit classrooms and be guest readers. Community members are invited to the assembly in the Veterans Memorial High School Gym. Please feel free to share this information with YCS Alumni and other family veterans who may not receive the letter or have access to the website.
9:15-9:45 am Coffee and Pastries for Veterans and Guests in the
Auxiliary Gym
10:00 am Assembly in the Veterans Memorial High School
Gym for PreK-12 Students, Faculty, Staff, and Community Members
11:00 am Adult Luncheon for Veterans and
Guests in the Auxiliary Gym
12-2:30 pm Veterans as Guest Readers in Elementary Classrooms
and Guest Speakers in the MS/HS Classrooms.
To help the Veterans Day Committee prepare for the coffee hour, seating at the assembly, the luncheon, guest readers, and MS/HS classroom speakers, please return the RSVP form to Mrs. Sandra Streb by Monday, November 2, 2026.
