New York State Education Law and the Commissioner's Regulations set the guidelines for how public school teachers and principals are evaluated. Linked below are the plans in place at York Central School.
Request for Scores
New York State Education Law also stipulates that teacher and principal composite effectiveness scores may only be given to a parent or legal guardian of a student. The parent or legal guardian may only request the composite evaluation score(s) and final quality rating(s) of the teacher(s) and principal his/her child has during the current school year. The law also requires that the school district make reasonable efforts to verify the identity of the parent or legal guardian making the request.
Parents or legal guardians are asked to complete the form below to make a request for this information.
