York Central School, a component of the Genesee Valley Educational Partnership Food Service Program, was awarded the 2020 Excellence in Student Services Award.

The YCS Food Service Department would like to thank you for your support, patience and understanding over this past school year and moving into the next.

Good nutrition plays an important part in the development and success of our students. York Food Service Department is committed to that goal by promoting healthy eating habits for lifelong nutrition. Our meals and ala carte items meet federal requirements and give students access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods. We are proud to serve locally produced milk and yogurt daily. We are also making every effort to serve New York State grown fruits and vegetables with our meals. This school year we are experiencing supply chain issues so there are times that the menu may have to change last minute. I hope this will be resolved as the school year goes on.

The USDA has extended free meals (breakfast and lunch) through the 2021-2022 school year. Because of this, all students are able to receive free meals. Lunch doubles and al a carte items are not free.

Free and Reduced applications are available to be filled out. Please fill out the application completely if your family qualifies and send it to York Central School.  Although your child will be free this year regardless of this application, going forward the application will help determine the status of your child’s meal account. See our link for further information.

My School Bucks is available to deposit money directly to your child’s school meal account and view balance/purchase information. Information is available on the link.
