Help Us Fundraise!
It will cost over $25,000 for YCS Odyssey of the Mind to compete at World Competition...and that amount does not include the cost of travel to Ames, IA. While the YCS Odyssey Boosters work very hard every year in anticipation of Worlds, our record setting 5 wins at State Competition will completely absorb the Boosters' account and still leave our program short. Please help by considering a donation to our fundraising site located here:

Also, keep an eye out for other opportunities to help as the Boosters roll out other fundraisers in the weeks leading up to Worlds.
Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students in grades 2-12. Students in grades 2 and 3 are recommended by their teachers and participate in non-competitive activities. Students in grades 4 and up tryout for the program. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics. They then bring their solutions to competition on the local, state, and World level. Thousands of teams from throughout the U.S. and from about 25 other countries participate in the program.
Each year the international program, Odyssey of the Mind, distributes six different problems in different categories for all age levels. For five months, students work on their solution to the problem. Then they present their solution in local competition against teams from other schools. The problems are designed to be open-ended; that is, they have many different possible solutions. At the competition, judges look for the teams with the most creative and complete solutions.
